This policy explains how personal information is handled when you visit martinaberastegue.com or contact Martin Aberastegue through the services linked from this website.
Who is responsible
Martin Aberastegue is responsible for personal information handled in connection with this website. For privacy questions or requests, email martin@aberastegue.com.ar.
Information processed when you visit or get in touch
When your browser requests a page or resource, the server providing it receives technical information such as your IP address, the requested URL, the time of the request, and browser information. Hosting and infrastructure providers may retain request logs to deliver the website, maintain reliability, and investigate abuse.
If you contact me by email, through LinkedIn, or by booking a consultation, I receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, contact details, and message or booking details. I use this information to respond to your request, arrange meetings, and provide the services you request. You can browse the website without submitting an enquiry.
Third-party services
Some pages connect to external services as they load. Those providers receive the technical information needed to respond to your browser and may process information under their own privacy policies.
- Fonts and other assets. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and styles, icons, or scripts from CDNs including Cloudflare's cdnjs, jsDelivr, and StackPath. These requests expose technical connection information, including your IP address, to the relevant provider. See Google's privacy policy and Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics. Some pages still load a Google tag configured with the legacy Universal Analytics identifier UA-126284-9. Google has discontinued Universal Analytics processing, but loading the script still makes a request to Google. This policy does not assume that the legacy tag produces current analytics reports. See Google's Universal Analytics notice.
- Consultation bookings. The English homepage loads a Cal.com booking widget. Cal.com receives technical information when its widget loads and processes the information you submit when booking, including contact details, appointment selections, and any answers you provide. The integration also forwards page query parameters to the widget. See Cal.com's privacy policy.
- Embedded social content. Some articles embed posts from X (formerly Twitter). Its widgets can receive technical information and use browser storage when loaded. See X's privacy policy.
Links to social networks, book retailers, and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Browser extensions featured on this site have separate privacy policies, linked below.
Cookies and browser storage
Some articles use local storage to remember whether navigation or content sections are expanded. These preferences stay in your browser until you clear them. External services loaded by the website may also use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.
You can use your browser settings to inspect, block, or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking third-party scripts or storage may affect embedded content and booking features.
Purposes and legal bases
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, handling an enquiry about services or arranging a requested consultation may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, or to perform a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Responding to other correspondence and maintaining website security rely on legitimate interests in communicating with visitors and operating a reliable website (Article 6(1)(f)). Processing required by law relies on Article 6(1)(c).
Where processing requires consent, the applicable basis is Article 6(1)(a), and you have the right to withdraw consent at any time. This policy itself does not request or record consent.
Retention and international processing
Correspondence and booking information are kept for as long as needed to handle your request, provide agreed services, and meet applicable record-keeping or legal obligations. Retention of technical logs and information held by external services depends on the relevant provider and its service settings.
External providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Their privacy notices describe processing locations and applicable transfer safeguards. Contact me if you need more information about a particular service or the information associated with your enquiry.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; restriction of processing; or a portable copy of information you have provided. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Send requests to martin@aberastegue.com.ar. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, including the authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. The European Commission's information for individuals explains these rights.
